What this website collects, why it collects it, and how to have it removed — in plain language, with nothing in it that doesn't apply to us.

We run a restaurant, not an advertising business. This website has no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing, and we never take payment details on this site.
The only personal information we hold is what you choose to type into our contact form, plus a short-lived technical record used to keep spammers out.
Contact form. When you send us a message we receive the name, email address and message you enter. We use them for one thing: to read your message and reply to it. Those are the only three fields the form has.
Your IP address. When a message is submitted, or when someone tries to sign in to our staff area, we briefly record the network address the request came from. This is purely to limit how many attempts can be made in a short window, which is what stops the form being flooded with spam and the login being guessed at. It is not used to build any profile of you, and it is not linked to your message.
Cookies. This site sets exactly one cookie, shyans_admin_session, and only for restaurant staff who sign in to manage the menu and photos. Ordinary visitors are never given a cookie by us. There are no analytics or advertising cookies on this website.
Our Order Online buttons hand you over to SkyTab, the ordering and payment service our restaurant uses. Once you follow that link you are on SkyTab’s own website, under their privacy policy and their security. Your card details are entered there, never here — this website never sees, handles or stores payment information of any kind.
The map showing our location is embedded from OpenStreetMap. As with any embedded map, loading it means your browser contacts that provider directly, and they will see your network address in order to send the map images back. We do not pass them anything about you. If you would rather not load it, the address is written out in full on the page beside it.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process information strictly on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it of us. Beyond that, nobody else receives it.
Contact form messages are kept while we deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then deleted by our staff. The technical records used for spam and login limiting are short-lived and age out on their own.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including any message you have sent through the form. Write to us using the details below and we will take care of it. You are never required to use the contact form at all; you are very welcome to simply phone the restaurant instead.
This website is for people ordering food from our restaurant and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something through the form, please contact us and we will delete it.
If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. This policy was last updated on 28 September 2026.
